Literature Text

Don't wake me up,

Leave me here in my wonderland,

Among the silly cards,

And chaotic tea parties.

Let me sleep longer,

My jabberwocky is not destroyed,

The croquet game is not finished,

And I only have the grin of the Cheshire Cat.

I am still tired,

Of the realities of being awake,

Of the pain of losing myself

To the monotone world.

Please,

Don't wake me from my wonderland.

The first in a poetic series of Alice in Wonderland themed poems. I've been in an Alicey mood so that's what I've been writing. I hope you enjoy!

Reality is so droll, it's far more interesting to walk amongst the wonderous land I have found in my dreams.  Excellent~! *^_^*

fun fact:  evidently, "wonderous" isn't a word?  0.o  I wonder whyever not...
